In our interview, Heather shares not just what she does—but who she is, and why she does it. Her story is a beautiful reminder that wellness is so much more than routines and meal plans. It’s about identity, connection, and living with intention.

1. Can you walk us through a typical day in your life?

From morning rituals to how you wind down—what keeps you grounded, fueled, and feeling your best?

Heather starts her day early—between 5 and 6 a.m.—but it’s not with a to-do list or a scroll through social media. The first thing she does is give thanks.

“As soon as my eyes open, I begin thanking God for something,” she says. “Thank you God for my bed, my home, my coffee.” It’s this rhythm of gratitude that sets the tone for everything that follows.

She sips coffee and protein, reads her Bible, journals, and prays before heading into a 30-minute workout. Somewhere between reps and prayer, her kids wake up, and the house starts buzzing.

Mornings are filled with homeschooling, co-ops, and lessons at the kitchen table. Lunch is shared as a family, and afternoons include work time for Heather while the kids dive into chores or research projects. By late afternoon, the whole family pitches in to tidy up and prep dinner.

Evenings are either spent at church, out at sports, or watching family movies. And after the house quiets down, Heather often returns to her laptop for a couple more hours of work—supporting her coaching clients and connecting with her online community.

Her days, she says, are “beauty full.”

2. What inspired you to get into the health and wellness space?

Was there a defining moment or personal journey that sparked your passion?

“I think I was always interested in living well,” Heather reflects. She remembers trying out a Tae Bo DVD as a kid, and running in high school—not for health, but for appearance. “Through that season, I didn’t have a healthy mind,” she says. “I was motivated to look a certain way.”

Motherhood shifted her perspective, but it wasn’t until the world shut down during COVID that she felt God whisper clearly: “You have time now.”

Heather leaned into at-home workouts, starting with free YouTube videos. After 30 days, she signed up with Beachbody and became a partner to stay accountable and serve others.

But her wellness journey wasn’t just physical.

Years earlier, Heather was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder—Anti MOG. She lost sensation in her legs, torso, and hands, and spent weeks on IV antibiotics. It was a summer of weakness and waiting, but also of prayer.

“I remember feeling really depressed and praying to God that I would be able to take my kids to the beach again,” she says.

She eventually made a full recovery—medication-free and symptom-free—and credits God for her healing. That experience gave her a deeper gratitude for her health, her family, and for life’s simplest acts—like making breakfast or tidying a room.

“I apply myself to healthy habits so I can enjoy the work of everyday life. It all holds purpose and is a blessing.”

3. What’s one thing you wish more women knew or understood about health—especially in the season of life you're most passionate about helping them in?

Heather wants women to know that nothing is impossible with God.

“The very thing they think can never change is what He wants to change most,” she shares.

Her message is one of faith, freedom, and trust in God’s timing—not our own. “Release your timelines for end results and pursue a lifestyle of abundance.”

She quotes Galatians 6:9: “Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest.” And reminds us that the journey won’t always be easy—but it’s worth it.

“The most powerful thing I have ever done to get healthier is get into the Bible every day. When you change your mind and heart, your actions follow. Praise God!”

4. What are some of the core values that guide the way you work with or support other women?

What matters most to you when it comes to helping others on their wellness journey?

For Heather, it all comes back to relationship—with God first.

“Jesus is the healer, guide, provider, progress bringer. He gets all the glory for every victory,” she says.

Her coaching is rooted in prayer and scripture. She helps women confront lies, replace them with truth, and walk in the freedom of who God created them to be.

“When we live in truth, nothing can hold us back from growing healthier and creating impact in the world around us.”

5. In your experience, what’s something that often gets overlooked when we talk about taking care of ourselves?

Heather names a powerful but rarely discussed mindset: believing we are God to everyone.

This belief leads women to place themselves last—resulting in burnout and disconnection.

“When God is in His rightful place, we are free to seek Him for guidance. The first step of healthy boundaries is understanding our relationship with God as His beloved daughter.”

From that foundation, women can build healthier boundaries and more fulfilling connections—with family, with community, and with themselves.

6. What does “wellness” mean to you personally—right now, in this chapter of your life?

“Wellness is about my mind, body and spirit,” Heather says. But it’s also about authentic living.

She’s no longer chasing the world’s standards of health or success. Wellness for her is about being freely and fully who God created me to be, leading the life I was predestined to live.

It’s about shedding the weight of expectations and embracing the unique race God has set before her.

“It is authentic living that is truly living well.”

Heather Lapier’s story reminds us that wellness isn’t a finish line—it’s a daily choice. A rhythm of gratitude, truth, and faith. Through her coaching, podcast, and lived example, she invites women into a deeper kind of health—one that starts in the soul and overflows into every part of life.
